Fanni Valkama coworked with NRC on her master thesis. She investigated the environmental impact of rail materials and interestingly found that the choice of raw materials, manufacturing process and transport solutions significantly impact the environment. In her opinion, we should ask suppliers for environmental product declarations, and learn more about materials with lower emissions.

Fanni now works as a Project Engineer in NRC Group Finland. Below you can hear her talk about her theses and what she found.
