Tor Oskar Rydheim Appointed Managing Director of NRC Group Norway

Tor Oskar Rydheim assumed the role of Managing Director of NRC Group Norway on June 15.

He joins NRC Group from Consto Anlegg AS, where he served as Deputy CEO and was one of the two founders of the company.

Tor Oskar has been with Consto since 2015, helping build the company into what it is today. He holds a Master of Science in Engineering from NTH (Norwegian Institute of Technology), specializing in civil engineering and construction.

Goals for NRC Group Norway

- I am highly motivated by the work ahead of us. One of my key priorities will be to strengthen the order backlog and secure growth for our Norwegian operations. I look forward to visiting our projects and getting to know the talented people across NRC Group Norway, says Tor Oskar Rydheim.

He places great importance on development and teamwork, believing that everyone must contribute their expertise for the company to succeed.

- Now we need to look at how we can turn things around together. That does not mean the work done so far has not been good, but the market is changing, and we need to think differently to succeed.

Tor Oskar is also focused on the customer perspective and the importance of staying close to the market while continuing to deliver high-quality services to existing customers.

In addition to strengthening the order backlog, he highlights several other areas that will be important for NRC Group Norway going forward.

 - I place great importance on safety, people development, project execution and, not least, profitability. We are here to create results, and profitability is a prerequisite for growth and for securing jobs over the long term.”

A Leadership Style Based on Trust and Collaboration

When asked to describe his leadership style, Tor Oskar points to clarity, trust and teamwork as key elements.

- I would describe myself as a clear and down-to-earth leader. I believe in honest communication, trust and collaboration, and I am committed to understanding the business before drawing conclusions. My role is to create direction and frameworks that enable talented employees and teams to succeed, develop and create results together.

For him, leadership also requires courage.

- Courage is about doing what is right, not necessarily what is easy. It means taking responsibility, being clear when decisions need to be made and standing by them. At the same time, it takes courage to listen, remain open to changing your mind and acknowledge that you do not always have all the answers.

Getting to Know Tor Oskar

Outside of work, Tor Oskar is looking forward to spending time with family this summer and attending a few rock concerts with his wife, including the popular Tons of Rock festival.
