NRC Group is entering the next phase of its strategy with a clear focus on profitable growth. The company calls this the Growth Formula.
- It will require a different mindset than in previous years, and personally I would say this is the most exciting part of the journey, says Anders Gustafsson, CEO in NRC Group.
Recently, leaders from across NRC Group gathered in Helsinki to align on the next phase of the company’s strategy. Gustafsson opened the gathering by reflecting on 2024, the year the company launched its Formula One strategy. The first phase of its strategic journey known as the Magic Formula set the strategic roadmap towards 2028.During the first year, NRC Group laid a more robust and sustainable foundation for future profitable growth.
In 2025, NRC Group entered the second phase of the strategy with a strong focus on stabilizing the company after some challenging years. The company delivered a margin of 2.1%, which is the result of focusing on one of the key success factors, Building Efficiency, across all three countries.
Several initiatives helped strengthen the company’s performance during 2025.
Safety remains as a top priority. In 2025, NRC Group reached an all-time low number of injuries, reflecting a strong and consistent focus across all segments.
The market responded positively, and a nearly 100% increase in share price during 2025, confirm confidence in the strategic direction set in 2024. NRC Group also delivered the strongest order backlog at NOK 9.2 billion in the group’s history.

This year’s targets represent a significantly higher level of ambition than previous years. NRC Group’s growth ambition is clear. The company is targeting more than 3.0% in margin and NOK 7.5 billion in revenue.
The third gear of the strategy is also the most demanding. The targets reflect confidence in the platform that has been built and the ambition to deliver sustainable and profitable growth.
“2026 is all about excellence, and a key part of our focus will be on winning big. That means winning the right projects that fit our strategy and where our competence allows us to deliver strong results,” says Gustafsson. The Formula One strategy has given NRC Group structure, focus, and a clear direction towards 2028. It has proven to be both strong and highly relevant.
To succeed, NRC Group must continue building one Nordic team moving in the same direction. Focus on delivering critical infrastructure projects with excellence, efficiency and a strong winning culture, will enable profitable growth.
