Blom Romania S.R.L, the Romanian subsidiary of Blom ASA, has signed a contract with the Administratia Bazinala de Apa Buzau-Ialomita, the Water Administration, to develop the plans for Prevention, Protection and Flood Mitigation Effects in Ialomita, Calmatui, Mostistea river basins. The expected value of the agreement is approximately NOK 18 million. The project execution will start in 2011. The contract confirms that the company's strategy to expand its activity in the growing economies in Central and Eastern Europe has given results. The contract also confirms that the company has a strong position within flood modeling and management, a market segment which has experienced increased attention in recent years.
